Our Mission

Since 1978, Mid-Bergen Regional Health Commission’s mission has been to provide residents of 15 municipalities in Bergen County, New Jersey with public and environmental health services and education. Our team of dedicated professionals addresses the unique needs of each municipality through integrated community health programming — saving taxpayer dollars, improving access to essential services, and promoting the wellbeing of generations to come.

We envision a future where every individual, irrespective of their circumstances or origin, has equitable access to healthcare, a safe environment, and the resources and knowledge required to make informed choices that enable them to live healthy and satisfying lives. Our Collaboration

In accordance with the Public Health Practice Standards of Performance for Local Boards of Health in New Jersey, Mid-Bergen Regional Health Commission serves as the health department for our 15 municipalities, contracting with New Jersey state and county organizations to provide comprehensive care to all our residents.
